    We are inviting applications for a locum Vascular Surgeon with a start date of July 1, 2023, to join the division and practice in a dynamic leading-edge facility with 50 full-time surgeons.  This opportunity may lead to a full-time position.

    To support Southlake, one of two designated Vascular Level 2 Centres in the Central LHIN by CorHealth Ontario, the successful candidate will be a team-focused, collegial individual interested in equally sharing patient care responsibilities and willing to participate in call and share available OR time. Candidates with skills in advanced vascular procedures, including endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, are preferred.

    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice in a facility known for providing efficient, safe, high-quality care with outstanding outcomes.  Southlake's Surgical Program relies on experienced Royal College certified specialists, a highly trained team of Anesthesiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Nurses, and Interprofessional Staff.  These professionals are dedicated to fulfilling Southlake's vision of delivering exceptional patient care by utilizing the most advanced technology to achieve the best possible outcomes, and providing the highest level of personalized care for our patients.  

    Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, an independent licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and be Royal College certified in Vascular Surgery.

    The University of Ottawa Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery is once again pleased to offer Vascular Surgery based Limb Preservation training. This unique opportunity is available to eligible candidates who have successfully completed an accredited vascular surgery training program and are seeking additional training in advanced open/endovascular skills and wound care as they relate to limb preservation. Fellowships will be offered for 6–12-month training periods. Candidates will benefit from one of the largest volumes of distal bypass surgeries and advanced endovascular lower extremity revascularization procedures in Canada’s most populated province, Ontario. The fellowship also offers advanced training in wound management in our Interdisciplinary Limb Preservation Clinic led by faculty from Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Foot and Ankle Orthopedic surgery, Infectious disease and Wound care. Training in wound care will lead to potential certification as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP).
